Osteopathy is a form of manual healthcare which recognises the important link between the structure of the body and the way it functions. Our mission is to provide you with personalized, high-quality care. We are dedicated to improving and maintaining your health through preventative care, and treating acute and chronic conditions. Osteopaths focus on how the skeleton, joints, muscles, nerves, circulation, connective tissue and internal organs function as a holistic unit.
Osteo Advantage offers a broad range of approaches using varied osteopathic techniques to meet todays conditions. We know there is no such thing as one-size-fits-all cure, so we never use a one-size-fits-all approach. With years of practical experience in treating acute and chronic conditions, Dr Heath Compton (Osteopath) may find an approach that fits you.
In Australia, Osteopaths are government registered practitioners who complete a minimum of five years' university training
Our goal is to improve and maintain your overall health and to empower you with an understanding of your condition and wellness plan using evidence based osteopathic medicine.
Your osteopath will ask questions about your problem and symptoms. They will conduct an osteopathic examination and if necessary, clinic tests. Your practitioner may look at other parts of your body, as well as the area troubling you.
Osteopathy is manual therapy, so hands-on treatment may include massage, stretching, repetitive movements, mobilisation and/or manipulation.
Your initial consult may last up to one hour.
Follow-up appointments are usually shorter.
Depending on you condition, they can take
30-45 minutes.
